Anything around 150 or louder would probably instantly deafen us for life! Here are ways to protect hearing.
How can you protect your hearing during rehearsals?
If you are using an amp you should put it down to 1 then slowly turn up to at least 5, especially if you're in a room full of the other performers. If you're playing piano don't hit the keys too hard. If you're playing the drums play it more softly.
Use Different Repertoires
Having a range of loudness and quietness will help your ears be more comfortable. if you start with a quiet song then do a louder song helps warm up your ears per say. A loud song then a quiet song helps soothe your ears.
Rehearsing quietly or loudly?
You should rehearse quietly to begin with, so not only that it protects your ears and helps you to get louder and louder and also because people don't want to hear your fails.
Quiet time!
Let your ears relax for an hour.
