SWOT

Strengths:

I have drum lessons, this means I have a 20minute one-on-one lesson with a professional drummer who can help me build my skills and to listen to my playing. This will allow me to give a good performance to the audience as I will play more advanced beats and will stay in time with the backing tracks that I might be using.

I can also almost instantly get the main beat of a song. This will really help me and I cannot read sheet music/drum tab and therefore I will need to rely on my listening skills.

 I can work with people I get on with, which is crucial because I need to speak to other members of the class to get their feedback on my performances, so I know what I should improve.

Weaknesses:

I can sometimes get impatient and frustrated if things don't go right because I'd give up, this means that sometimes in a lesson my emotions get control mid lesson and it would make me stop. I should regain focus quickly as I only have one hour a week.

Opportunities:

I play the drums at home and I listen to music. I work with people I get on with who like similar music.  I like background music or 'memes' which I find funny and humourous. Allstar by Smash Mouth is one of my favourites. I want to compose similar music to this.

Threats:

My own impatience, memory which sometimes leads me to forget things and my internet life which can often be a distraction., I have never performed solo in front of people so this will be an issue for me. i will have to overcome this when i give a performance.
